COVID- 19 UPDATE
30th October, 2020
To our Members & Social Members,
We finally have some good news regarding the latest easing of restrictions! We are pleased to advise that all courts are available for bookings as of 31st October, 2020 for both singles and doubles. Please ensure that 1.5 metres distant is maintained and that the maximum amount of people per enclosure is 10 people. It is a requirement that masks must be worn on entering and exiting the facility, but not while playing tennis. It is your responsibility to abide by these rules for the safety of all participating in playing tennis.
Before you play
Please stay at home if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days or have even mild flu-like symptoms. If you are in a high risk health category, please consider whether you should be playing tennis at any time during this period, please do not take unnecessary risks.
To protect against infection, you should:
• Wash/sterilise your hands before and after you play
• Avoid touching your face while playing.
• Do not share water bottles
• Bring your own bottle already full.
• Bring your own hand sanitiser
• Cover your coughs and sneezes with your elbow
• Be aware of what surfaces you touch and ensure you clean them after play
Book A Court Bookings
To ensure we can keep a record of each person who attends PTC, bookings are mandatory and all bookings must include the players you are playing with. When making a booking you will need to use the ‘ADD PLAYER’ feature. We would also encourage all facility users to download the COVIDSafe app to assist with participant tracking in the case of a positive COVID-19 test result of a participant.
Pennant – BRTA – MDJTA (including Juniors Competition)
We are waiting on further advice from Tennis Victoria as to when competitions will start. Will be updated when further advised.
The Clubhouse at PTC will remain closed. Access to the toilets in the downstairs clubhouse will be available, via your pin code, if required but please keep access to a minimum. There are to be no gatherings in the clubhouse downstairs or any access to the kitchen.
In House Night Competitions
At this stage night comps will probably not restart until February 2021 but will advise if there is any change.
Our coach Michael Logarzo will be sending out communication regarding coaching classes
Again, we ask all members and social members to ensure these guidelines are followed to ensure that the PTC can remain open. Please ensure that you do not hang around after your hit, make sure you keep your distance when changing ends and ensure you wash your hands before and after your game!
Should you have any concerns or wish to discuss these guidelines please do not hesitate to give me a call. Stay Safe!
